Visitation and exploration of The Nature Reserve is managed by The Reserve Connection. The Reserve Connection is a public 501(c) (3) non-profit, that serves to provide opportunities to the community to visit and enjoy The Nature Reserve. Through the many hikes, walks, astronomy programs, family events, and volunteer opportunities offered, visitors can discover and learn about the importance of the habitat reserve.

Pre-Registration Required For All Programs:
- Contact us for large groups or to arrange a special group outing.
- Your registration enables us to contact you about program changes or cancellations. Please see our policy on Cancellations and Refunds.
- All visitors to The Nature Reserve must present a signed release waiver upon entry to the property. Families may submit a single form, as long as all entrants are identified on the form. Waivers are also available at the event.
Have you ever tried taking a photo of the moon during an eclipse and it just doesn’t turn out the way you imagined it would? Join us for an evening of learning how to “Capture an Eclipse”. On average, total lunar eclipses can only be seen from a specific location about every 2.5 years with the next one on March 13! This presentation will not only cover our Moon's origin, features, phases and eclipses, but also tips for capturing a lunar eclipse on your camera or smartphone.
This event includes presentation, and lunar themed small bites and non-alcoholic beverages. The "Cosmos"politan martini, beer and wine will be available for purchase at the bar.
About our Presenter, Spencer Murray
Spencer is an OC Astronomer and has dedicated his time and expertise in the field of Astronomy as a volunteer at The Nature Reserve since 2014. Spencer has been instrumental in Astronomy Nights, International Observe the Moon Nights, and other nighttime programs at The Nature Reserve. His love of Astronomy started when he was 6 years old, looking through his first telescope, handmade by his neighbors.
